The Egyptian Event in Vichy – France
In accordance with the decision of the members of the PSE, the Egyptian Event Europe has gone on tour. After a successful start in Italy, this year the EEE went to France, where a great Arabian Horse Festival took place in Vichy from August 11th to 13th. Three days of Purebred Arabians with more than 150 horses. In the catalogue, each show had its own colour and beautiful pictures that rounded off the event.
Thanks to the perfect organization of ACA Vice President Eric Gear and the incredible commitment of a highly motivated team, it was possible to successfully hold three shows. The French National Championships, the Egyptian Event Europe and an International C-Show. The kick-off was made by honouring the breeders of endurance horses. This supreme discipline of the Arabians should not be missing and demonstrates that there is also a performance competition in addition to the show competition.
The whole atmosphere of these three days was relaxed and positive. The process without lunch breaks proved its worth, as did the tried and tested speaker Guy de Fontaine. The trainers were in good spirits, because the horses were properly accommodated, the weather was good and the judges mostly agreed. The tents with the VIP tables looked nice and the guests felt well taken care of by an excellent catering. The evening for all participants was enriched with exceptional performances by a circus team, which delighted with Hungarian mail and other displays.

At the opening of the Egyptian Event 2023, President Bettina von Kameke was able to stand in the ring with the entire board of the PSE and greet the guests in their national language. At previous events, the board had not always been able to be fully involved. In Vichy it was therefore possible to successfully inform French breeders about the work of the PSE with several contact persons, flyers, almanachs and many conversations.
In the championships, the various participating countries such as Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates triumphed. The happiest was certainly the French breeder Sébastien Brun, whose foal Nyma Bint Nakeeb was his pride and joy and thrilled the spectators. Best in Show, winner of his class and Gold Champion was Safeer Al Wadi by Majd Al Rayyan from Shawq Al Zobair.

At the Bronze Championships, apart from other pedigrees with German origins, German roots met live again: in the young mares with Madeenah Halima bred by Michael Ponnath and in the young stallions with Malik Al Rashediah bred by Achim Dirnhofer

Together with our member Nayla Hayek, the PSE sponsored the best mares and stallions bred by Europeans in Europe in four categories. Among the young mares it was Sulyna El Ryad, a Naseem Al Rashediah daughter from Italy, who was second in her class. Among the senior mares, Questurat Al Fawaz, a Mishaal HP granddaughter, as well as among the young stallions, Hanaya Rahil from Switzerland and the senior stallion Najhar Du Siard from France.
A small stud tour to Aljabal and Al Rashediah rounded off the event.

North of Bordeaux, the Al Rashediah stud farm from Bahrain has two locations where the majority of the stud horses were housed. Father and son Al Jasmi generously invited the PSE and som visitors and gave an insight into their breeding program, which opens up new perspectives for France.
